"Let us read, and let us dance; these two amusements will never do any harm to the world".
In the dance section students require an immense concentration and dedication to regular training and rehearsals in addition to maintaining their academic schedules. As such, the program strives to work closely with other faculty and staff to meet the educational, emotional and physical demands placed on young dancers during these formative years of study. We forget our stress when we dance. Dancing helps in the building up of communal bonds. So we encourage our students to dance off their stress and if they want to build their career, we help in that too.
In addition to dance classes and rehearsals, the faculty integrates injury-prevention techniques to the curriculum by using dance-related anatomical concepts such as Yoga, Pilates, Gyro tonics, and Somatic principles of Body-Mind Centering. The Goenkan dance academy curriculum is designed to prepare students for careers as dancers, focusing on classical ballet while providing instruction in other styles. By exposing students to classes in music and drama, as well as making them meet the legends of Dance, we try to instill competitive spirit in them and rise and shine ahead
